My Story

On the 22nd of April 2018 I will be attempting the London Marathon.  It seemed a good idea when I applied, even after printing off the training plan It appeared to be a good idea.  Now with one month to go it is starting to be real.  Please read my story and I will appreciate any donations.

Alex Toase is my Godson.  Alex was born on 22 November 2013, and after receiving an injury during his birth, was left with a life-long disability called Erb's Palsy. This means that for the rest of his life he will have less strength and limited function in his right arm. At 6 months of age Alex had to endure nerve transfer surgery to try and improve his condition. Alex is now 4 years old and is a happy, determined and independent little boy despite the difficulties he faces. The Erb's Palsy group UK has been a lifeline to us and Alex during some really challenging periods in the first year of his life, and continue to support us and other families in the UK.  Kelvin, Claire and the whole Toase family are hugely grateful for the advice, support and positivity that the charity has provided.
